| In this exibit we were able to establish a feel for what an early 1900's kitchen and dining area may have looked like. You can see many items rarely shown in a kitchen of the 20th Century such as the cast iron stove top, and the metal flour sifter or the ceramic crock filled with sugar or stone ground flour for baking. Kerosene oil lamps were setting on the tables back then to provide the light to cook and clean by. | |||||||
