Summer 2007

About our Dramatic Performance

Each year our dramatic performance highlights the early pioneer days of Oakridge, from stories of early settlers and their families to details of the local businesses and how they have helped sustain our  community over the years.  Once every 5 years though, our focus is directed to the Pioneers who traveled the Free Emigrant Road to coincide with the reunion of the Descendants of the Free Emigrant Road.  This year, summer 2008 is one of those years, and our local historian, Rachel Spencer has created a compilation of three previous plays that she had written about the stories of those days gone by. Rachel has dedicated many an hour to researching
and writing her stories and plays that we all enjoy so well.
Our community truly benefits from her hard work and expertise.
Many thanks for all you do Rachel!!

The Oakridge Museum would also like to extend special thanks to
Bob Wilson of the Zero Clearance Theater Group for his experience and commitments to Directing our local actor volunteers and helping to make the performances so entertaining and enjoyable.
